The story of the Black Sheep during the first half of 2021

In one more month it will be a whole year since I came home from hospital and began work on my third feature film.

In that time there has been a concept trailer made, a script completed (That took a good chunk of time), some extra filming done and more work on the computer; mainly special effects and building stuff.

Using the open source programme Blender has been a great learning experience. It is so much much fun creating stuff that you have always imagined. I have been loving every moment of it, even when I haven’t got a clue how to achive something and everything has to stop while I learn something new.

While working on the Movie my Son has had his 25th Birthday and we got a new addition to our family in the form of Maggie. She’s 5 years old and has an extra digit on each paw. As you can see she has thumbs. This is a congenital physical anomaly called polydactyly. Which mean, like the Raptors in Jurassic Park, she’ll be learning how to open doors very soon!

Our resident quadruped and my best non-human friend; Mistie Moo, is cool with our new cat as we used to have Dave, the Son of Sammy (Who was also a member of the family), when Mistie came to live with us. So she may chase and bark at Cats in the street, but in our home she’s fine. That doesn’t mean that Maggie is though.

You see, Misitie used to kiss Dave hello every time he came through the cat flap. She tried to kiss Maggie once and got a , ‘bop,’ on the nose for her trouble!

The Sheriff and another page of my daily drawing diary.

I’ve also been working for the NHS

And I am still working on Devious. The 30 year love letter; Doctor Who fan fiction which is still in production.

David Clarke is doing amazing work with the special effects.

Ashley has been building props and stuff within the CGI world

And Stephen Cranford has actually been working for a living! He still is a presenter of the traffic and travel on Radio Sussex (For the BBC) and can also be seen hosting on the QVC channel and putting his old building skills to great use by being one of the crew who are assigned to help the contestants on Grand Design (BBC).

So, it’s all go and we carry on going. Let’s see where the wind continues to take us.

Be mindful of others and yourselves. Look after each other and remember; your mental well being is just as important as your physical health. Take care.
