Since I last posted lots and lots have been happening. Work on the Super Charly continues, as well as Devious episode 6. I’ve picked up a 3D printer. The David Cross Band have completed their USA tour and are heading off on a Prog Rock Cruise!
So after plenty of research I landed upon the Elagoo range of 3D printers and the entry level printer for a beginner, the Mars 5 and, wow!, I have not been disappointed.
This printer was extreamly affordable (under £200)
Like my research had indicated, as long as you have done some prep before hand, you can be printing your first object within minuets of un-boxing the printer.
So I made a 3D model using Blender. Prepared it with the programme Chutebox (This creates the Stl file that 3D printers use.) Then the Mars 5 was used to print the model. You can see my results in the images above.
My old chums at the SFO went to Cannes for the week and was voted one of the top 5 Film Offices in the World. What a result. Click on the image above and you will be taken to their news page where you can read the full story.
One of my earliest creative projects was a radio show called Three Million Years Before Lunch with three of my oldest friends.
This project was revisited back in 2018 for the Worthing Theatre Trail and put together in the vain of the old radio shows like, ‘Around the Horn.’
Recently I hooked up with my three oldest friends and collaborators on this project and after a good catch up it looks like we might revisit this project in the future.
We are hard at work on episode 6 of Devious and it's the last episode to be completed to finish of the story, which began with Ashley and David almost 30 years ago.
There is a bit of a deadline on this one as it has a slot as part of the evenings entertainment for a Doctor Who convention in April 2026!
More details will be available closer to the time and for more up to date information regarding Devious please click on the above image and you'll be taken to the Devious website where Ashley keeps the site up to date.
My dear chums Chris and Stephen’s documentary series continues to run on Rewind TV.
Being an independent group and having self financed the show themselves they are now appealing for patrons.

Super Charly continues.
I’ve gone back to the script, while playing with all of the stuff in Blender, which is required to create the world of Super Charly, as there are story beats and scenes that require some work.
Also I’m going to be doing some experiments with back projection, while filming in raw, to see if I can achieve more, ‘in camera’, photography in an attempt to reduce green screen filming and, future, post production work.
More news as it happens.
Lets all try to be a little nicer, kinder and caring towards others. We do live in a wonderful world. I know there is lots of darkness and hardship all around us, but the more of us who believe, then slowly we will all help in turning the darkness into light. Have a great month everyone.
