June 2026!
Half way through the year and what a year it’s been.
Sad goodbyes. Happy endings. New begingings.
Like Jim Broadbent’s best line from Indiana Jones and the Cave of the Crystal Skulls, ‘We’ve reached the age where life has stopped giving and has started to take away.’ Not strictly true, but a nice line of dialogue. Life has started to take away in the form of elderly loved ones, but that is the passage of time for you and, long in the making, projects coming to an end.
Yes! Devious had its showing at the 50th anniversary of DWAS at The Capitol Doctor Who convention in May. Like episode five it was a rush to complete it and now that’s done David wants to take two or three months to give the whole episode a once through and one final polish before it goes onto YouTube. I’ll keep you posted.

My dear brother came for a weeks holiday from Ant & Dec land (Newcastle.) And while he was here I thought it would be fun to film some add-lib (or made up on the spot) silly videos, just shot on my phone and edited on an App and using basic free AI to help produce any effects. My only remit was to keep them under a minute. We actually ended up with a four part mini-sides, which I called BRO’s and it chronicles the fantasy version of Neil’s holiday with me.
Good times.
Apart from having fun with my Brother I have also continued working on the Super Charly project and the retro reflective method. Here are some pictures of the latest lest rig.
So, the work continues. While working on the best way to produce the quickest, cleanest composite matt (for ease during post production) I am also playing with a camera controller in Blender, so the Digital camera will move in conjunction with the real camera and capture the data, allowing myself to have the freedom to shoot the scenes in the world of Connect as if I was filming in the real world. Stuff I could only dream of only a few years ago.
