On the home, admin, front my dear Wife became a national champion at Leamington-Spa in the lady outdoor bowls final, with a friend of hers in the pairs.

The Dark Side Of Life
On the filming front I have continued with all the tec side of things in regard my feature film (It’s the long and winding road, so the Beatles say). I’ll include some images below. Also, I wanted to revisit the script, as I’ve left it to ruminate for a while and now. I wish to chew over all the plot details and structure, so I decided to use my time wisely (or un-wisely) and turn the script into a novel. This has been a fascinating experiment and extremely beneficial for the script. It’s really helped me to take a step back and look at the whole story objectively.
I’ve also decided to add illustrations for most of the chapters, as I have such a strong vision of how Connect and everything looks, I wanted to add that to the novel. I’ve chosen the style of Sidney Edward work on the Sherlock Holmes novels from the 1800s.
I’ve adapted it slightly to adopt my more cartoon look of drawings but have kept the Half-Tone Reproduction drawing appearance.
I always adored that style but never had the confidence to infuse it with my own, until now!
Fanning the Flame” is a feature-length documentary about Devious, the long-in-the-making Doctor Who fan film.

So that’s cool. Mark and Richie were embarking on a documentary which encompassed the whole of fan fiction of Doctor Who during the wilderness years, but they have changed focus and have decided to concentrate solely on Devious.
To us (The Devious crew) this is a wonderful thing, we can’t quite believe it.
We were interviewed last year and then they got back to us and mapped out their amended idea for a documentary, and we were simply bowled over and extremely humbled that these guys wanted to go to such lengths regarding Devious.
So, we’ll be assisting and promoting this project as much as we can.
Talking of other peoples projects I see there has been an AI Doctor Who story that’s been created and causing a bit of a stir with the online community of Doctor Who fandom.

The Unmade Season released a 55-minute AI-assisted unofficial fan episode that blew up past 375,000 views, dividing the fandom over its use of generative AI
Sadly, like a lot of things these days, peoples have been getting very upset over AI and other things and it’s all turned a bit nasty, which is sad for all involved.
My take is, if they are not breaking copyright, not earning from it, not hurting anyone and are just enjoying creating stuff with the tools of the day (And as long as AI doesn’t become Sky-Net from the Terminator and wipe us all out!), then it’s no different from the fans that built a carboard Tardis during the wilderness years, picked up a video camcorder, put on a scarf and made their own adventure and showed it to their mates via video tape.
Finally, if you like it. Watch and enjoy. If not, don’t watch and play something that will make you happy and not angry.
I’m sure the AI debate will continue and we’ll have to see where it takes us. As long as it’s not to Judgment Day!

Another fan film called Dr Who meets the Scorpion which has been two years in the making is also out now on Youtube.
